Did you know?
For any individuals employed in the Early Childhood sector…….
Tusla Early Years Inspectorate have outlined in their February 2018 Newsletter the requirements for First Aid training as follows: Since the 30th June 2016 the requirement to meet Regulation 25 is that there is at all times a person trained in First Aid for children immediately available to the children attending the service. Tusla Early Years Inspectorate have outlined, that from 1 June 2020, in order to meet the regulatory requirement for regulation 25, there must be a person(s) who has undertaken the First Aid Course by a trainer available to children attending the service. The number of people trained in first aid for children and available for first aid response is based on the service’s risk assessments, including the size of the service and the hazards identified. Where a service provides evidence of a person(s) trained in First Aid Course and is available to the children at all times, the regulatory requirement will be deemed to be met.
