The Principles of First Aid are as follows;
- Preserve life – stop the person from dying.

Who’s it for?
In essence, everybody should know how to perform Basic First Aid in all walks of life.
Duration
1 day (6-7 hrs of instruction)
2x 3hr evenings
Course Content
- Patient Assessment
- CPR (Adult/Child/Infant)
- Choking (Adult/Child/Infant)
- Recovery Position & monitoring Vital Signs
- Common Medical Emergencies (Asthma, Diabetes, Seizures, Poisoning)
- Stroke Recognition (FAST assessment)
- Bleeding & Shock
- Fractures, Sprains, Strains & Dislocations
- Burns Care
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with a certificate for Basic First Aid from Donegal First Aid Services. Certificate valid for 2 years.
